i brought two books to the playa, "Go Dog Go" and "because a little bug went Kachoo". when i recently re-red them it was a pretty cool experience, the books held stories and images i knew so intimitley. they had been so well burned into me as a child. but they reminded me of the playa , a place where the absurd is to be accepted and enjoyed.
my goal for the playa at times was to take pictures that matched the images from the books, ones that were exactly or pretty darn close to the same, one notable moment was the ferris wheel, that was the cherry on top for the go dog go book, a day later i got a shot of the boat mary lou (Queen Anne)which featured in the bug book.
